Genealogical proof to establish that Domenica Bonanno, wife of Antonino LaCava, is the daughter of Calogero Bonanno and Domenica Pirera. A Lipari marriage record dated 23-aug-1678 exists for Antonino LaCava and Domenica Bonanno. No parent names are documented. A time frame for the estimated birth of Domenica Bonanno is 1653 to 1663, assuming an age of 25 to 15 at the time of the marriage. A Lipari death record for Domenica Bonanno has not been found. One of the five Lipari baptism records for their children document the maternal grandfather's name as Calogero Bonanno. There is a Lipari birth record dated 3-aug-1665 for Domenica Bonanno, daughter of Calogero Bonano and Domenica Pirera. Though this would have her marrying at age 13, a child is not born to that union until 1684 possibly indicating that the marriage was arranged in 1678 but not consummated till 1684 when she would have been 19. This is the only Lipari baptism record for a Bonanno family headed by a father named Calogero prior to 1679.
