Hello, I am the great granddaughter of Marianini Longo -- and the (step) great,
great granddaughter of her stepfather, Antonio Sidoti.
1917, Antonio Sidoti purchased a crypt in St. Vincent de Paul #2 Cemetery on
Louisa Street for my great grandfather Angelo Rosso. In later years, interment
followed for my great grandmother Marianini Longo (in 1938), and my grandfather
Valentino Rosso (in 1965).
Metairie (manager of St. Vincent’s) that, in order to have the right to be interred
with my family, I would need to either (A) produce the original crypt deed;
or (B) prove I'm related by blood to Mr. Sidoti (who is still listed as the
owner of the crypt). I have subsequently learned that I am related to Mr. Sidoti
only through marriage. This means I need to produce the deed.
I would be very grateful to any member of the Longo family who could help me.
The deed may have been passed down with legal papers in your family. If it
can be located, perhaps I would be allowed to buy it or have the title transferred
to me. Alternately, perhaps your written permission would suffice to permit
me to be buried with my great grandparents. Of course, I would cover cost
and expenses.
as I have been caretaker of the stone and planned for my entire life (I will
be 70 this year) to be buried with my family. If anyone has any information
that would help me in locating the deed, I would be deeply grateful. I can
be reached at 845-651-1144 and pineroad@optonline.net. Thank you.
