The only way to get to Ustica in December is to go through Palermo and take the hydrofoil.The schedules are at www.siremar.it .They don't have December 2004 listed yet but if you select February 2003, that should be the same as for this upcoming December.The weather can be bad in the winter so try and plan some wiggle room in case service is interrupted.Contact Fabio Ailara at hotelclelia @tin.it for a nice place to stay in town.There are plenty of others that may or may not be open in the off season.Best of luck
