I think I found him (by using the patented Caravella search technique of searching by birthplace):
1870 US Census, California, Santa Clara County, San Jose, 1st Ward, Page 215 (?), Post Office: Alviso [Roll: M593_88; Page: 236; Image: 470]
Dwelling 197, Family 193
_ Borroco,* Andrew; Age 30, Male, White; Occupation Fruit Dealer; Value of Real Estate [blank], Value of Personal Estate $100 0; Birthplace Italy, Father & Mother of foreign birth.
_ " , Rosa; Age 30, Female, White; Occupation Keeping house; Birthplace Ireland, Father & Mother of foreign birth.
_ Bradley, Mary, Age 29, Female, White; Occupation Domestic servant; Birthplace Ireland, Father & Mother of foreign birth.
*Smudged; indexed as Baroco

I wonder if Mary was Rosa's sister?

As far as I've found so f ar, there is no relation between the Desimone and Barraco families, but I'm beginning to think that if we look long enough we'll find that all of the California Usticasi are related.
