Ms Gallo,

I do apologize.
I think, to qualify, it isn’t about when they immigrated but when they were still in Italy. For instance, if they were born in Italy your Italian ancestor who immigrated, their birthdate had to be on or AFTER March 17, 1861. And then when the arrived to the States, either they had to not naturalize, or if they did naturalize, that your
next-in-line relative (their son or daughter) had to be born
before they were naturalized.
Marco Permunian and
Jason LoPresti were very helpful, and I’d go thru them
to get a free consultation to see if you are eligible.
They can research your ancestry then, and probably
figure things out. What I had provided them were the names of my great-great-great grandparents who immigrated from Ustica and his son (my great great grandpa) who was born in New Orleans.
They were able to give me definite details on how the Favalora/o’s would be approved.
