This is the final record I'll show and this one presents the best evidence tying Dominick Green/Verdigets/Virgets to his roots in Ustica. This is a later death record from the civil records of Ustica. Typically at the end of each year’s records, supplemental records were listed. These were documents recorded in communities outside of Ustica and sent in to Ustica so that they would be recorded in Ustica's official register. This document records the death of Felice Manfre in New Orleans. His widow had returned to Ustica and in order to clear the way for her to remarry she needed an official document. This record is from the Italian Consulate Office in New Orleans before which appeared Domenico Verdichizzi, son of the late Cono, age 54 years. The level of detail is typical for Italian records in contrast to what we find in New Orleans. It is also from these same supplemental records that we know where else in the world Ustican people were migrating.
