This is the society's website address. There's a collection individual articles with references that were used to build this presentation. If you have trouble finding them just click on one of the email links at the site and I'll help you find them. So when I first began to research the civil records from Ustica, I quickly decided that I would just gather them all and not just to display them in a website but to actually build the family trees for all of the people represented in them. So from the period 1820 through 1902, I compiled about 10,000 birth, marriage and death records and recreated the 19th century population of Ustica. And from that exercise, I now knew all of the surnames associated with Ustica and I used this knowledge to comb through the records in New Orleans and extract out all of the Ustican immigrant families. This added another 10,000 records and we now have a website where someone could trace their family from current time all the way back through Ustica to the early 1800's.
